subject: dying burner?

-> Yeah and you and I know what's in it.
-> An IC under a blob of epoxy on the back of the circuit board, a membrane
-> contol panel or dirt cheap switch and display.
-> It's kinda sad I tossed my Knight Kit VTVM, dececades old it
-> still weorked fine but where to find a vacuum tube if the existing
-> one failed.

 It is supprising the number of Vacuum tubes still avaialble. Some are
fading now but Thanks to the Ineffecency and lack of development in the
former behind the Iron Curtian counties they still have operating
VacuumTube plants. The Soviet built Vacuum tubes have developed a
fairly good reputation with the Ham Community.
