      NOMINATIONS FOR 1997 NRA-ILA VOLUNTEER AWARDS
Nominations are now being accepted for the 1997 NRA-ILA Volunteer
of the Year awards.  Separate awards will be given to the
individual and the organization which have demonstrated
meritorious volunteer activism in the legislative and political
arenas for 1997.  If you wish to nominate an individual and/or
group who went above and beyond the call of duty to protect our
Second Amendment rights in 1997, please submit a brief
description as to why this person or group should receive this
award to:   NRA-ILA Volunteer of the Year, c/o Glen Caroline,
11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA, 22030.  You may also fax
your submissions to Mr. Caroline at 703/267-3918. Be sure to
include any specific accomplishments or achievements, e.g.,
campaign work, lobbying, volunteer recruitment, media activism,
etc. All nominations must be received by May 8, 1998 in order to
be considered.  Winners will be recognized at NRA's Annual
Meeting in Philadelphia in June.
