Have you ever read the U S Constitution?
It has made a pretty good form of government,
to have stood against all this time,
and to have protected us so well.
It even has a way for us to change it if it should ever become out of
date. It is called 'Amendment'. It is the only way that the rights
guaranteed by the Constitution can be legally changed. That is
important, because it protects us from a democratic, or a republican, or
a Tory constitution.
If any one of the constitutional rights can be limited or taken away by
any other means, then all the rights of citizens can be taken away in
the same way.
It never protected criminals from a fair trial.
It protected and still protects
the rights of the individual law abiding citizens,
in the Bill of Rights.
Freedom of Speach.
Freedom of Worship.
The right to carry and bear arms shall not be infringed.
(Note that it does not say ' to rob, shoot, or kill').
All men and women are equal before the law.
you have a right to privacy in your own home.
The right of peaceful citizens to respectfully exercise these rights is
guaranteed by the Constitution.
