Knoppix Linux picked up on just about everything in my H.P.
Pavilion computer.

As expected it failed to deal with the combination software
sound card - modem but it _did_ call attention to the fact they were not
recognized.

I used the external hardware modem I've got to get online and when
I get around to it I need to put the Turtle Beach sound card in
and my small Seagate drive partitioned to save my settings until
I snag a large drive.

I'll just boot to the CD and run Linux in my 256 Meg of RAM.

Until then I have to put up with this old Windows DOS 5.0 -
Win 3.1 system.
