subject: Win98FE Harddrivicide?

-> -> It should be Doable. You need to go to the Hard Drive manufacturer
-> -> support site and download their maintenance and troubleshooting
-> -> software. There sould be a routing so you can "Zero"
out the Hard Drive
-> -> and start over.
-> -> If that OEM CD is a restore disk I donm't thin kyou can get arroung the
-> -> FDISK problem. Because the FDISK o nthe Win98 CD is the oldr versions
-> -> that dosen't see drives larger then 64 gig.

-> Nothing currently sees the drive but I'm keeping it just to slave
-> to n new drive to be purchased next month
-> where I will try the Western Digital utility.

Interesting the files are on www.westerndigital.com :-) :-)
There are two programs I am thinking about BUT I don't recal lwhich one
"ZEros" out(I REFUSE to call it Low Level formatting because it is i nNO
was related to the LLF of days past and Gibsons Spin Rite)
But the two file names you are after are Data Lifeguard Install and the
WD diagnostics.
