the whatsnew.txt file shows

+ Sysop Chat Page in Windows now plays the "default beep" sound as
  configured in Windows.

perhaps it could use the configured "chat" or "incoming
call" sound instead? i remember something back on w9x where there was
something default on the OS that could be used for chats and used one of
those sounds... there were several different sound files for it... i
haven't seen it in years since i stopped doing live chats on the networks,
though... it may not even exist any more... if that's the case, then it may
be possible that james could implement something in the windows sounds area
and provide some wave files for them... i don't know if he wants to go
mucking about further in the registry, though ;)
