Hi Don,

Actually you should be able to use e.exe without it attempting to create 
any backup file - that works on any RO CD-ROM file here. Any RO *.txt 
filles you can open in e.exe just by double clicking their icon, 
otherwise with different [or no] extension you might have to use the 
context menu choice to open with "System Editor", without copying it to 
HDD!!
