Hello Rick! 24 Nov 02 08:13, you wrote to me: RC>> In order to make it worthwhile for programmers to code for it, it RC>> has to be actually tested to see if its worthwhile. It wont become a standard if it is not used... Maybe its high time we get off our collective asses and stop batting around ideas and saying how good they are and then end up doing nothing more than that. RC>> I can tell you that the R16C, has written a perl script that can RC>> parse the nodelist and he added to his script the ability to RC>> parse out the INA flag.. (thanks Jerry). Seems to me that someone is gonna have to change something.. RR> There is also the issue that the addition of this flag will make it RR> easier for entries to surpass the 157 character limit imposed by RR> compilers such as MakeNL. I honestly do not know where you have been in the past 2 weeks? I had a node in my region who wanted to list a FQDN next to every IP protocol he offers, it threw his listing up to 234 chars, with my flag, it lowered his listing well within the tolerances imposed by makenl. Are there pro's and con's with my proposal? Why certainly, but I can name pro's and cons's with anything else that has been implemented. == Ross BBS -> http://www.the-estar.com - telnet://the-estar.com rosscassell{at}mailshell.com | ICQ = 5305939 ...
