  Hi, I use a "cheap" Everex digital camera (cost me AUS$ 150) it connects
via USB with absolutely no problems as long as you are using the latest
(software choice or eCS website) drivers.

  I have used both Kodak and Rabbit Photo CD services without problems.
Kodak used to use their own format but I think everyone has now standardised
on Jpeg. This should work for you without any problems.
