This is hardly the only important rock site lost to the wrecking ball.
The Crawdaddy Club in The Richmond Station Hotel, 1 Kew Rd, Richmond,
was demolished. The site is now the Bull and Bush Pub, and there is a
plaque over the door:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Woods/6912/london.html
It was the site of the first Rolling Stones concerts and was also the
site of the first meeting of the Beatles and Stones. Later that evening
they went to the apartment shared by Mick, Keith, and Brian Jones at 102
Edith Grove. That building still stands but without a blue English
Heritage plaque.
