i understand that... however, the DMI thingy is nothing more than a
switch to clear it... the machine will rebuild it on the next bootup...

ouch... i remember that some Gateways and HPs have an option in the DMI
area to view the DMI error log, too...

at least, i'm pretty sure that it is the DMI stuff that i'm thinking
of...
