subject: Lousy lines?

Hi, Paul.

PE> FM> Rotten connect earlier this morning, multiple CRC errors on all of the
PE> 8
PE> FM> days' worth of messages waiting for me since I last had a working
PE> FM> system.

PE> First of all, it's got nothing to do with lousy lines, as there are EC
PE> modems on either side of the lines. If errors are getting through to your
PE> app, it's likely due to something else, e.g. a modem bug, or a serial port
PE> bug, or a windows bug or a telix bug etc. There is nothing I can do about
PE> any of those things, as they are all likely to be at your end. Otherwise
PE> everyone would have the same problem, as the connects are all the same to m
PE> (except for potential modem bugs). BFN. Paul.

I know all that, but nothing's changed here except a total restore of
everything on disk as at August 30th. The EC modems aren't Cing the Es -
hmmm do your logs show that I'm connecting to you EC? The problem's
still there, 1 CRC error earlier this morning (connect at 5:52:09) - I
assume no-one else has reported a problem?

Regards, fIM.
