That's available in WordPerfect dos 6.1 also. But
it requires that your printer be able to generate the
multiple copies. Actually, I have an elderly Heath
printer buffer that will hold up to 318 K and can make
up to 99 copies. Undocumented: while printing, you can
run the copies number back up when it gets low. I use
this buffer's abilities all the time for multi-copy
small print jobs, like printing postcards - like 2000
at a time.
The rub is: it's exactly the large graphics files,
which take so long for WordPerfect to handle, that
won't fit in the buffer. I would suspect the same
problem would exist with a printer which can do the
multi-copies.
I do see listed in a catalog a buffer holding 4
Megs. I'm not interested in spending $226.95 for it.
I'm saving my money to buy a faster computer. The old
dot matrix printer had the computer waiting for it - my
new HP DeskJet 680C sits waiting for the computer!
