It's 15 Aug 97 18:36:48,
We'll return to John Thompson and All's

I haven't tried this, but you should be able to install a dual boot
Win95/DOS system on your C: drive. Just install Win 95 into a different
directory (e.g. c:\win95). After installation, edit c:\msdos.sys and
add the line:
BootMulti=1
You can also tweak how Win95 does its dual boot. I don't see any
problems with this setup and Warp, as the existing Windows directory
will remain (largely) intact when you install Win95 to a different
directory.
JT> Need to aquire:
JT> A copy of Win95. People tell me that finding this shouldn't be a

Win95 is easy to find. :-)
JT> 1) Ditch the Windows 3.1 on drive C: and install Warp Connect

I believe Warp Connect allows you to migrate your existing Windows icons
and groups (didn't work for me, since I'm using PlugIn for Windows :) ).
JT> 2) Leave Windows 3.1 on drive C: and install Win95 onto the same
JT> partition hoping there's some way for both these versions of
JT> Windows to co-exist?
Yes, just install Win95 to a different directory. I do it all the time
at work (without OS/2). Edit msdos.sys from Win95 as I detailed above.
To select DOS/Win3.1, press F8 when the message "Starting Windows 95"
appears, and you'll get a boot menu. You can make this menu appear by
default, if you prefer, by tweaking msdos.sys. (this is not a typo,
msdos.sys is a text file under Win95).
JT> 3) Hide my Windows 3.1 stuff while I install Windows 95 onto
JT> drive C:, using Drivespace (or whatever they're calling it these
JT> days) to place the Win95 stuff on a compressed volume that would
JT> be invisible to OS/2, then "unhide" the old Windows 3.1

JT> OS/2 to use it?
Seems a roundabout way to do it. I'd consider either the Warp Connect
install or DOS/Win95 dual boot approach.
BTW, Win95 will disable Boot Manager during installation. You'll need
to set Boot Manager's partition active after Win95 is installed, by
using FDISK (any FDISK - OS/2, Win95 or DOS should do the trick).
P.S. If you get hold of Win95 OSR2, do _not_ use FAT32, otherwise DOS
and OS/2 will not see the partition. Also, there is a relatively
painless way to do an upgrade (involves a little trickery :) ), even if
setup complains that the system can't be upgraded.
... Elementary my dear, what's on!
