In a message on 10-21-94, Donald Woolwine said to All: DW> I am getting a stack full error after about 45 entries into a DW> looping routine similar to the one that follows. Use SIGNAL, not CALL. CALL is for subroutines and each time it branches back to your M1 label REXX is saving a lot of information on the "control stack" and is expecting matching EXIT commands sometime soon. Better yet, learn to program without using SIGNAL, which is roughly the equivalent of GOTO. A better technique would use some kind of loop control structure, which in REXX is usually the DO ... END pair. You can read more about it and find examples in the online REXX documentation.
