So I've created a how-to on getting the Windows versions of DOSBox and Mystic working together to allow Mystic sysops to be able to offer old DOS text adventure games like Zork to their users. It seems to be as safe for the sysop's system as possible, and the games respond just as any door game written specifically for a BBS would (keyboard timeout, returning control to the BBS after quit/disconnect, etc). Best of all, each user has their own copy of each game, so they can save their games and not worry about anyone else messing with them. The how-to is at http://www.throwbackbbs.com. The link is at the top of the page, named "Mystic & DOSBox How-To". Just click and follow the directions! --- Mystic BBS v1.10 A58 (Windows)* Origin: throwbackbbs.com -\- meriden, ct -\- (1:142/799) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 280 640/384 712/0 620 848 770/1 @PATH: 142/799 322/759 123/500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
