I am currently maintaining three ATX boxes, all home brew. Only one has
onboard video but with SDD it works fine; I don't know about games but
it works the WEB quite well.
My online box is using AC97 sound. It seems decent. The other two have
SB Live under uniaudio.
Try the onboard stuff, it just may be good enough.
