No.
If you are a "power user", or running a BBS or the like, I would strongly
recommend either the SFM (SupraFaxModem) line, or the Supra Sonic model.
The Sonic has many features that some might never use/need, but the SFM
series is durable, features a full complement of features, and should serve
you well into the future.
The Express series is the "bargin line", for either those that can't afford a
higher priced model, or don't have a great need for features.  There -are-
features that aren't included, and that's how the price is lowered.  (You
can't pay for a Pinto and expect a Lincoln Town Car.)
I always recommend the SFM series to anyone.  It's a great modem.  (Though I
use a mix of SFMs and Sonics here..  both are great.)
