subject: Metal or Plastic?

I am building a second system for my use from a combination of new and
used parts. I don't do this often and have not built one in a couple of
years so I am having trouble deciding whether or not the backing on the
AMD Athlon is metal or plastic.

It is a shiney sort of burnished pink in color. Feels smooth to the
touch and has some sort of logo or design that you can feel in the left
hand corner.

I think it is plastic though I can't seem to find an edge to lift to
peel off, my daughter thinks it is metal.

Can any of you experienced system builders help me out here?

Thanks, Jim
