On 12/04/14, Todd Yatzook said the following... TY> Nope, no .MSG files. That's why it's screwing me up so badly and I can't TY> pinpoint what's up. Mystic is getting actual echomail packets and putting TY> them in my Netmail messages (I think), but I can't access them as TY> Netmail. AHH!! that sounds like xxcarol has her system processing her sbbs netmail area and packing the game messages like would be done on a FD style dynamic mailer setup... TY> I have to manually open the file itself and read what I can. since you can open the PKTs to read them, what name are the packed messages being sent to? once you know that, you can go into your ini file that mutil is using to toss the mail with and have it automatically readdress those netmails when it imports them... see below for what to look for in the PKTs... eg: [ImportEchomail] forward = BattleNet Game;Todd Yatzook that'll forward messages "To: BattleNet Game" to your name... just set "BattleNet Game" to whatever name the messages are to... you can have several forward lines... there may be a limit of five but i'm not sure without digging back into the mystic whatsnew file... in any case, you'll want to add a line for each one if you want to be able to actually look at them in mystic... TY> All game packets are moved at this point and not processed by MUTIL, so TY> it's not game packets. I dunno what they are, but I get 100+ a day TY> imported as Netmail. I'll try setting up a bad message base and see if I TY> can trap them there and forget about them, or something. yeah, you won't be able to toss them into your badmessages area since they are netmail and badmessages is for undefined echomail areas ;) when you look at the raw PKT file, look for the date and the time... the next field is the To: name and the one after that is the From: name and then the subject... there will be nul characters (seen as 00 in HEX) between each field until you get to the end of the binary header... you don't say what tool you are using to look at the raw PKTs with so i can't say how they will appear in that tool... --- Mystic BBS v1.10 A57 (Windows)* Origin: (1:3634/42) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 280 640/384 712/0 620 848 770/1 @PATH: 3634/42 12 123/500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
