Hi Struther,
AH=> Well I'm primarily looking at Hunters because there're lots of
hem

SM> Well, they certainly are "pretty" boats (if not traditional) and they DO
-----------
Just received something in the mail telling me that Hunter has just
started sailing a new prototype this month - the HC48. I think it's
supposed to be a fast passagemaker with water ballast and an electric
engine. That is: I THINK it's a passagemaker, unless I read the thing
wrong. I've never heard anyone call a Hunter "pretty" before, but since
you mentioned the word "Winnibago" in the same paragraph, I can tell you're
trying real awfully hard to be polite.
--------------------
AH=>few other boats built by Cooper, but none of them seemed to shine in the
AH=>sunlight - especially in the engine compartment.
----
SM> Do you mean they were dirty and dark or do you mean they were under-
SM> powered or do you mean there was no space to work on the engine?...
SM> you'll have to be more eloquent, I'm afraid - your answer is simply too
SM> obtuse.
--------------------
First off, just what the hell does obtuse mean? Is that some sort of
geometric shape like a Hunter or something? What I was refering to in the
engine compartment was the engine. Most other boats I looked at had
engines looking brand new (actually, some were :^) For some reason, these
particular Coopers had dirty and old looking engines which gave me the
realistic impression that they were on their last legs.

AH=> The Spencer Sunstar 31 got sold last week - really was in great shape,
AH=>but just a tad too small to live aboard. I believe it went for about
$34K.
----
SM> Que sera que sera - it just wasn't meant to be...
------------
Ya, I guess, that's what Doris Day said too.
--------------------
AH=>Keep on rootin' for me... if ya want to sail when you're out
AH=>this way :^)
----
SM> I will!... and so too, I'm sure, will everyone else out here! We'll
SM> likely be out that way next year - or so Sheila tells me... her
SM> sister lives in Vancouver and another sister lives in Kelowna: we're
-------------
Make it for late winter (say, anytime in March) and you'll think
you're in paradise. Ever seen two whales mating? How 'bout seals? Sea
cows? C'mon, I'll take you guys sailing and show ya what real marine
life's all about!
Cheers,
