are you using the same compiler as before? many times, the random number
generator is altered between compiler versions... systems that rely on
certain aspects of routines that are subject to change are subject to
breakage when those routines change... another gotcha is that some
compilers will automatically nullfill variables where others don't... if an
application is written to expect variables to be nullfilled and the coder
doesn't explicitly nullfill them himself in his code, well...
