Hi Nancy,
NB> NB>> sure about tomorrow night... Your Dad might have had more than
NB> us...
RH> Most likely did, from what little I was able to pick up on from news
RH> sources. Glad I wasn't there shoveling it. (G)
NB> Yeah... that's the worst part... :) We've been under a lake effect
NB> snow watch this weekend, but didn't really get all that much anyway...
NB> apparently it went more to the east of us...
And we had clear, but cold weather over the week end.
RH> Quite so; I had to wear shoes for a stretch right after I broke the
RH> one foot (and finally got out of casts, boots, etc). Now I wear
RH> footwear with less support but still wear something on my feet most of
RH> the time, barefoot doesn't offer quite the support needed.
NB> For me, support's less the issue than balance... and barefoot
NB> definitely gives me better balance and proprioception....
Having had to wear shoes (very little barefoot time) while growing up, I
got used to their feel for balance and stability. Until I broke the foot
in 2005, I wore moccasins a lot inside but had to give them up while the
foot was healing. Now it's whatever footwear I think is appropriate. (G)
NB> that RH>> as time goes on. We were playing dominoes last night with
NB> Steve's RH>> parents, sister & BIL; I let others do more of the
NB> mixing as it
NB> RH>> was a lot of reaching.
NB> NB>> You could probably feel the pull....
RH> At times, yes, same as with hand sewing last week when we got home.
RH> Steve did the stirring for tonight's supper--sauteeing peppers, onion,
RH> garlic and mushrooms to go with Italian sausage (which he also
RH> browned). I was reaching across my cutting table today, getting a
RH> couple of small quilts ready to be tied.
NB> Working the stretches, but hopefully not overdoing it... ;)
Some work, but felt better after a bit of rest. I know that kneading
will be more stressful so I'll let the mixer do even more of it, then
work the dough more with the right hand until I think the left can take
the stress. Of course I can always ask Steve to lend a hand with it. (G)
NB> RH>> wouldn't scratch him.
NB> NB>> Good place for it... just not where she was looking... ;)
RH> When I started making them for Santa, I started with putting the label
RH> in the front facing, down at the bottom & on the inside. Out of
RH> obvious sight and non scratching so decided it would work for a shirt
RH> for a 2 year old as well.
NB> Good thinking... :)
That was the intent. (G)
