On 03-13-98, TOMMY PRICE declared to ALL:
TP>Does anybody know if, the rush limbaugh show is still on TV?
Despite its success, Rush cancelled it himself long ago. For one thing,
he never enjoyed TV as much as he does radio, and for another, he was
dissatisfied with the miserable time slot the show was relegated to. It
was also a lot more work he had to do on top of the radio show, itself a
full time job.
The time slot problem was due the nature of the TV business - the kind
of thing that is the reason for a show like Nightline not airing live
here in this market, but instead is delayed 'til 11:30 pm in deference
to old Frasier and Coach episodes. Frasier and Coach are part of the
local station's contract package for other shows it relies on for its
viewership, and as part of that package, they must agree to air the
Frasier and Coach shows in the particular time slots they occupy.
