Alan Hess was thrown for a loss after he said:
AH> three runs per game against Indians' pitching was atrocious.) Bordick,
AH> however, was the primary reason the Orioles scored 137 fewer runs in
B-A-L-O-N-E-Y. Todd, the God, Zeile wasn't worth 137 GD runs. Alomar's run
production was down by 102, Anderson's by 57, Palmeiro's by 47, Ripken's by
33 and they never did replace Bonilla. Again, your hatred of one person
causes you engage in hyperbole to have him be the primary reason for a team's
failings when he was in a postiton to do no such thing. It should be
painfully obvious NOW to anyone who still believed you that it is only your
bias that makes you hate him so much.
AH> Surhoff could just as well have returned to third base.
Surhoff's a bum at third. He's no more a third baseman than you are an
Orioles' manager. The last two times he was given 100+ games at third, he was
no better than Ripken so what makes you think that he'll suddenly improve?
He's playing where he's playing because his impact on the defense is
ssened.
AH> combo. Offensively, Bordick is way below average (even for a shortstop),
AH> and Ripken is average for a third baseman.
Come on, stop with the hyperbole.
AH> However, this doesn't change the fact that the swap of Bordick for Zeile
AH> (or Surhoff) dramatically weakened the team. *adh*
