Augustin:
AH=> Okay, it "IS" confirmed tomorrow after I call the airline... but
'll
AH=>only stay until Feb. 10th. I figure two weeks in Toronto means two weeks
AH=>away from Vancouver and sailing - hard for me to take :^)
You know... I really "DO(!)" wish you'd stop making all those references
to sailing - it really hurts!.. but then, we've only got 14 weeks
until the boats are IN THE WATER!!!!.. not READY for launch, but IN THE
WATER!!! I'd better get hustling on those jobs I wanted to get done -
that 14 weeks'll zip right on by before I even know what's happening!
Two weeks in Toronto is enough, eh?... I think what really irks me about
that line is that I'd just L O V E to come back with some sort of
zinger, but I can't... I think I'd agree with you! (write that down - it
doesn't happen very often)
AH=>SM> SYNAPSE's galley needs a bit of work, too!
AH=> If you need any woodwork that only a truly skilled craftsperson can
o,
AH=>let me know and I'll have a look. I'll be in TO again before launch and
AH=>may be able to help you out then... but I warn you, you'll have to keep
e
AH=>in beer!
Gladly keep you in beer while you're aorund SYNAPSE.. I figure that way
at least you'll have something to occupy your little hands and you'll be
less likely to fiddle with and break something!... though all kidding
aside, what SYNAPSE's galley needs is a propane re-fit. Remember how i
showed you that antique blue propane bottle that was on her in the port
cockpit locker? The old bottle (unfillable) and the out-of-date system
that had no electric solenoid shut-off and so forth....I've spoken with
the guys at Ocean Marine Outfitting and figure the job'll cost me about
$300 to run all new lines and solenoid and a bigger tank than the 5 lb
thing that's in there now - may be good for an egg breakfast but
certainly won't run the stove, oven, and BBQ. That means, of course,
building a new box where the old one is - but that's not too much of a
problem: just rip out some parts, add new (plywood) parts, and glass the
whole thing in place using the existing propane-spill line that vents
overboard.
Look forward to seeing your smiling (!?) face again!
