Easy, the modem isn't plugged in, turned on or connected to the phone
unless I wanna use it.  I don't think my modem can sneak a call out without
me knowing...  Who needs all that other stuff????

*Geez!!!*  There is reference to this in the manual, why DO YOU KEEP saying
it's a hidden feature?  This is just a case of Microsoft bashing. 

and hey, if you owned a business and were losing 90% of your stock to 
theft, wouldn't you be looking at ways of stopping it?  I would!!!  
There are cameras & other security devices in stores, bags are searched
when leaving a store...
