Well, you should only have to do that once.

There are several commerical (Partition Magic) and freeware
(PRESIZER and FIPS) non-destructive partition resizing utilities
available. When I installed OS/2 v2.1 I used PRESIZER to shrink
my existing DOS partition to create space for an HPFS OS/2
partition.

Although I did have a tape drive and current backups, PRESIZER
made the change with no data loss.

Once you get Boot Manager set up it's no harder to go back and
forth between DOS and OS/2 than Dual Boot, and a lot less risky,
IMHO, since it doesn't rely on copying system files each time you
change OS's.
Which terminal emulator are you referring to? I have yet to find
a terminal program that doesn't function under OS/2's DOS or
Win-OS/2.
