 Thanks, it's what I thought, until I cleaned a label side & the
skip disappeared.  Probably just got the dust off silver side in the
process.  My Denon CD is pretty much dead, ripping it apart sounds like a
good way to spend time with the kids.  Definately "unplugged", that's the
first thing the wire cutters get!
... The simple answers are invariably the least obvious.
