No but I've never seen a usable hard drive Linux wouldn't see.

!'ve written down that URL however and may yet give it another go.

In any case I'm not going to mess with it until I obtain a new I/O card
and hard drive early April.

If at that time I can recover the drive it'll be a great spare.

I'm a bit leery of having 2 drives in the machine as being an H.P.
it's got that screwy little SFX 145 watt PS.

Really need to borrow an amprobe to see what it's drawing rather than
stress out the supply.
