RG> Battery life on most bike computer are from 3 to 6 years now a days.
RG> For actual life of a certain model, look it up in the owner manual. I
RG> don't believe any model has to have the batteries changed yearly.
Since bike computers these days have a "power saving" feature that shuts down
the LCD when the bike hasn't been moving for several minutes, the life of the
battery will depend to a considerable degree on how much one rides. It would
not surpise me, based on my experience, that a professional racer, if he used
the same bike computer all the time, would have to change out the battery at
least once a year.
