| subject: | Initializing Child window positions.... |
Greetings all,
I'm new to PM programming, so please slap me if this is a newbie
question. I'm trying to set all of the child windows of my program to their
starting position before I make the main frame window visible. However,
it appears that while a window is not visible, the size of its client area
is 0x0 (at least that's the value WinQueryWindowRec() is returning.) I'm
initializing the position of the main frame window with the
FCF_SHELLPOSITION flag. Without the client window size, I cannot set my
child windows to their starting size and position (which is relative to the
client's size).
Is there any way around this, or should I just make the main frame window
visible when I create it, and let the user watch various windows pop up?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide,
Michael Duffy

P.S. Ach! Found another question. Why do the titlebars of child windows
stop highlighting when you set their owner to the main frame window's client
window? Hmmm...
... Windows is a DOS virus.
