Hi Nancy,

NB> RH>> It's 39.5 right now (8:20 pm) but clear. Not getting all the
NB> white RH>> stuff we saw on the news that the northeast is getting.
NB> NB>> We got a lot more snow than I was thinking we'd get... but it's
NB> not NB>> expected to stick around all that long anyway.... we shall
 NB> see...

RH> Hopefully mostly gone. Talked with Dad on thursday but forgot to ask
RH> how much snow he had.

NB> Yup... mostly gone... now there's forecasts of snow and rain over
NB> this weekend, but possible no or little accumulation... not sure about
NB> tomorrow night... Your Dad might have had more than us....

Most likely did, from what little I was able to pick up on from news
sources. Glad I wasn't there shoveling it. (G)

NB> NB>> morning, but gave in and wore the boots Sunday night... ended up
NB> not NB>> going out yesterday or today, but would have had to wear the
NB> boots for NB>> both, and probably will have to tomorrow when I go
 NB> out....

RH> Hopefully I won't need snow boots until we see Rachel & family next
RH> month. They will be packed, but not used for the whole trip. I'll have
RH> dress boots for other times.

 NB> I keep it simpler.... sorta.... (G)

Quite so; I had to wear shoes for a stretch right after I broke the one
foot (and finally got out of casts, boots, etc). Now I wear footwear
with less support but still wear something on my feet most of the time,
barefoot doesn't offer quite the support needed.

NB> RH>> I don't want to stress it with the kneading action too much.
NB> Right RH>> now, the KA does most of the kneading but when I punch it
 NB> down/shape RH>> it, I give it a good kneading again.
NB> NB>> So, for now, Steve's still doing any baking.... and, yes, the
NB> NB>> kneading could indeed put stress on the shoulder.... better to
 NB> NB>> wait a while longer.... ;)

RH> Hopefully after we get back from out west--but will evaluate that
RH> as time goes on. We were playing dominoes last night with Steve's
RH> parents, sister & BIL; I let others do more of the mixing as it
RH> was a lot of reaching.

NB> You could probably feel the pull....

At times, yes, same as with hand sewing last week when we got home.
Steve did the stirring for tonight's supper--sauteeing peppers, onion,
garlic and mushrooms to go with Italian sausage (which he also browned).
I was reaching across my cutting table today, getting a couple of small
quilts ready to be tied.

 NB> RH>>> hand made gifts.
NB> NB>>> And I'm sure that the moms being honored look forward to them
 NB> as NB>>> well.... ;)
NB> RH>> I've not heard anybody not liking them. (G) I sew on a "hand
NB> made RH>> by..." label on as a finishing touch.
NB> NB>> Signing your work, so to speak... :)

RH> Yes, I've done that for years. One time Deborah was looking all over a
RH> shirt I'd made for Logan, finally asked where the label was. I showed
RH> her--not at the collar but tucked in where it wouldn't scratch him.

NB> Good place for it... just not where she was looking... ;)

When I started making them for Santa, I started with putting the label
in the front facing, down at the bottom & on the inside. Out of obvious
sight and non scratching so decided it would work for a shirt for a 2
year old as well.

Catch you later,
