I was fortunate enough to be present when a former young assistant of
Einstein, Max Herzberger, became angry and protested when Voegelin observed
that when Einstein made statements outside of his field (forty years ago some
leading scientists were regularly pronouncing on political affairs) he said
some pretty silly things. (chuckle). Max was a charming little man whose
children were brilliant and who could play chess against thirty or more
opponents at the time and win most of the games. If God favors intellect
(grin) I was eliminated before I was born!!!
Sincerely,
Frank
