     I don't doubt that the API works fine, but my experience with it is
quite limited, so I am probably making a very simple mistake.  At any rate,
I now have Petzold's Programming the Presentation Manager which has a large
section on dialogs, so I'll peruse that and if I have any problems, I'll
post here.  Thanks for the reply!
