I'll look at stuff in stores sometimes,  and some of these requirements
just make me wonder...

Particularly when a lot of it involves some late version of windows,  and
I'm not planning on using whatever the hardware is on that platform,  but I
have a pretty good idea that there's support for that hardware on what I do
run.  It makes the rest of that stuff suspect,  too.
