Here's what you said: ---------------- On Jan 20 09:39, 1998, Richard Town of 2:254/235 wrote: CF>> Forval, Digicom, USR were the first vendors to have V.32bis modems on CF>> the market, and they did so _before_ the recommendation was officially CF>> ratified. No dreaming necessary for working that one out. ----------------- Anyone reading that can clearly see what you said, and why you're complaint of "past history" is just a tad silly - seeing that you introduced it in the first place. RT> It is touted as the "V.Everything" And over here for a time lived up to RT> that claim. But since an ever helpful UK employee left (soon after the RT> first and only) UK x2 code, that claim can no longer be substantiated Here you're referring to a proprietary extension to V.42, not something supported by the ITU, and therefore not a "V-dot" protocol. Hence, your references to the marketing term "V-everything" simply doesn't have any application, nor make any sense. If I didn't know better I'd think you had some ulterior motive for these posts.
