Afford? Any time you delete/add partitions on a hard disk
(with Partition Magic or not) you are taking a risk. That's
life. Some folks can tolerate more risk than others. I
don't really think cost is all that much of a factor. Also,
repartitioning a drive is not for the uninitiated if they
are concerned about existing data. You and I may
understand it well since we've done it many times (I assume
you have) however this is still a daunting task for most
computer users.
Before you ask... yes, I have purchased Partition Magic.
About three years ago I think. Never used it. Have always
done these things the manual way. I prefer the manual way
if I have a choice. I purchased Partition Magic just in
case I ever get in a bind and really NEED it. For example
if I don't have enough hard drive space to copy things to
for a temporary holding area.
