More than 20 years ago, I was walking around downtown Hollywood, Ca.
when one of those homeless people asked me for some change so he could
get something to eat. I asked him to tell me the truth what he really
was going to do with the money and he readily confessed he was going to
go to the bar and get a drink. Anyway I gave him a couple of bucks and
got talking to him about his "plight". To my surprise he told me that
his family were very wealthy and keep bugging him to "come home"; but
that he stays on the street, sleeping in alleys and deserted buildings
because he liked it that way. Strange world; isn't it?
