There is some information and source code that deals with netmail routing in FidoNet. Some programs are very complicated, but I don't actually see the problem. Each node knows who his uplinks and downlinks are (they are specified by the Sysop), what more is there to be know? When isn't the distribution chain as straightforward as I imagine? Hardly any information is newer than 1993. What happened then? Isn't this a problem anymore?
