Hi Nancy,
NB> NB>> effect... Next week, back into the 40s and rain....
RH> It's 39.5 right now (8:20 pm) but clear. Not getting all the white
RH> stuff we saw on the news that the northeast is getting.
NB> We got a lot more snow than I was thinking we'd get... but it's not
NB> expected to stick around all that long anyway.... we shall see...
Hopefully mostly gone. Talked with Dad on thursday but forgot to ask how
much snow he had.
NB> NB>> I'll probably still just wear the sweater jacket... but if
NB> there's NB>> snow on the ground, I guess the winter boots will get
NB> some use
NB> NB>> tomorrow... maybe Monday as well....
RH> I use winter boots only a few times a year--just enough that it is
RH> good to have a pair on hand. Steve generally wears his old Army
RH> boots--and probably will, until they wear out.
NB> With me it's either sandals (a/o baarefoot) or snowboots... haven't
NB> anything (for now) in between.... So, I wore the sandals Sunday
NB> morning, but gave in and wore the boots Sunday night... ended up not
NB> going out yesterday or today, but would have had to wear the boots for
NB> both, and probably will have to tomorrow when I go out....
Hopefully I won't need snow boots until we see Rachel & family next
month. They will be packed, but not used for the whole trip. I'll have
dress boots for other times.
RH> I don't want to stress it with the kneading action too much. Right
RH> now, the KA does most of the kneading but when I punch it down/shape
RH> it, I give it a good kneading again.
NB> So, for now, Steve's still doing any baking.... and, yes, the kneading
NB> could indeed put stress on the shoulder.... better to wait a while
NB> longer.... ;)
Hopefully after we get back from out west--but will evaluate that as
time goes on. We were playing dominoes last night with Steve's parents,
sister & BIL; I let others do more of the mixing as it was a lot of
reaching.
NB> RH>> hand made gifts.
NB> NB>> And I'm sure that the moms being honored look forward to them as
NB> NB>> well.... ;)
RH> I've not heard anybody not liking them. (G) I sew on a "hand made
RH> by..." label on as a finishing touch.
NB> Signing your work, so to speak... :)
Yes, I've done that for years. One time Deborah was looking all over a
shirt I'd made for Logan, finally asked where the label was. I showed
her--not at the collar but tucked in where it wouldn't scratch him.
