yes which makes it an intranet instead of something connected to an
internet... one might be able to just use pharcyde with no TLD or one might
need to use a private TLD that is not published or available on the wider
net... this is similar to using .local on internal LANs (eg: foo.local,
bar.local)... one might also have to use a private TLD for thunderbird and
iThings to be able to work properly... i dunno and haven't tried but it is
a networking thing ;)

of course, james would know more about this aspect since he designed and coded it ;)
