I'm not coloring anything, Thom.  I shoot from the hip.  Every time
someone comes up with a disparaging or disheartening comment, there
is a chance that someone else may lose faith in the process.  Look
at what's happening with Z2 right now.  Do you think that what Alex
is describing is conducive to the success of our proposal?  I don't
think so.  His extracurricular efforts may do more harrm than good,
just as comments like "it'll never happen" or " It can't be
done",
or (in your words) "don't hold your breath".

Those who have the ability (or willingness) to look at matters in an
objective light seem to be few and far between.  This is why we all
need to be as clear and concise as possible.  And for this exercise,
as encouraging as we can be.

Oh, puleeeeeze... replace "Bob" with "those dozens of nodes who worked
on the proposal",  and strike the rest.  I have no qualm about comments
regarding the content of the proposal, just the painfully apparent length
of time it's taking to see it through.

Believe it or not, I am as apprehensive as you are on how long this
is taking... just not as adamently outspoken about it. 

One might think you were among the detractors.  ;-)

The cap is not mine to place, and I won't give up on this until either
Ward or the RC's shoot it down.  So far, I see is unaccountable delays,
but nothing that indicates failure.
