We enjoy spicy foods - so pepper is no stranger here.
I have never heard of tipping toasted cheese sandwiches into catsup.
If you like catsup - imagine that would be good.
Then again I grew up enjoying peanut butter on toast with sliced
radishes open faced sandwiches :-)
Years ago our daughter had a pen pal friend from N.D. come here for a
visit. This girl was never exposed to a lot of different foods. She had
never eaten Chinese food among other things. We had taken her
sightseeing down in DC and decided to get Chinese Take Out for Dinner.
It took a while for us to convince her that Chinese Take Out was not
weird and if she didn't like it we would take her to McD's for dinner.
It ended up that she liked everything we brought home. But we got to
talking and asked her about crab - since Md is famous for its crabs -
we thought she might enjoy some of the local crab houses. Her response
was she knew what a crab looked like, but couldn't figure out why
anyone would possibly want to eat anything that disgusting looking.
