Rod,

DM> now. With Paragon I upload my REP's with Sealink, and download with
DM> Zmodem. It happened on both the new version of Telemate (4.00) and
DM> the previous version too (3.20?).

RS> I've never had the slightest hint of a problem with Telemates Zmodem
RS> uploads. Never use anything else except for a test.

It may have something to do with 2400 connects, as that is all Paragon
has at this stage.

DM> The Zmodem upload worked once or twice in both versions, and then
DM> carked it. It starts uploading, and then fails after the 1st 1k block.

RS> Very odd, particularly as you see it on other than Pauls. Paragon isnt
RS> using Spirits is it ? I've forgotten what you are using yourself.

No, the upload to TML was fine using Zmodem. I'm not sure what sort of
modem(s) Paragon is using, but I am beginning to shy away from them
because of the lost messages. Now it looks like I may call back in to
check for lost messages !

I have a Maestro SE.

DM> I haven't persued it as it is more of an annoyance than a hinderance,
DM> but have been meaning to doi so in due course. After I've fixed my
 DM> laser.

I've fixed my laser....

RS> There is a new Telemate too, 4.11. Not that much extra, mainly
RS> multiple upload and download directorys. Its on the City BBS.

More of a maintenance release. I'm quite happy with 4.00. Except for
this Zmodem problem..

Dieter
