Hi Nancy,
RH> We're in the 60s for a few days, supposed to hit 70 Friday and
RH> Saturday, then back down to 50 on Sunday. Roller coaster weather!
NB> Roller coaster weather here, too.... yesterday it was in the low 70s,
NB> today it got into the 60s and then started dropping this afternoon...
NB> tonight and thru Tuesday, they are talking 30s and snow... lake
NB> effect... Next week, back into the 40s and rain....
It's 39.5 right now (8:20 pm) but clear. Not getting all the white stuff
we saw on the news that the northeast is getting.
NB> to vote (about 2:30), RH>> the jacket was just comfortable enough but
NB> I changed out for a lined RH>> windbreaker about 3 hours later when
NB> we went out for supper.
NB> NB>> The sweater jacket is my fall jacket... definitely not ready to
NB> use NB>> the heavier winter jacket....
RH> We wore winter jackets last Saturday at an outdoor wedding, Sunday to
RH> church. After church it had warmed up enough that a mid weight one
RH> would have sufficed.
NB> I'll probably still just wear the sweater jacket... but if there's
NB> snow on the ground, I guess the winter boots will get some use
NB> tomorrow...
NB> maybe Monday as well....
I use winter boots only a few times a year--just enough that it is good
to have a pair on hand. Steve generally wears his old Army boots--and
probably will, until they wear out.
NB> NB>>> Definitely progress... in the right direction... ;)
NB> RH>>> Yes, and the doctor thinks so as well.
NB> NB>> Also a good thing... :)
RH> He said something about doing laundry--I told him I'd been doing
RH> it for several weeks. I'm still not kneading bread; I want to wait
RH> a few more weeks on that.
NB> Probably a good idea... :)
I don't want to stress it with the kneading action too much. Right now,
the KA does most of the kneading but when I punch it down/shape it, I
give it a good kneading again.
NB> NB>>> So did you get it done in time for the shower...? And was it
NB> NB>>> well received....? :)
NB> RH>> Yes, and yes--tho I realised after I was almost done quilting
NB> it, RH>> that I'd inverted 2 rows. No significant problem, just
NB> skewed the RH>> design a bit but the mom to be loved it anyway.
NB> NB>> Made it clearly a one-of-a-kind... ;)
NB> RH>> Only one of 2 hand made items at the shower.
NB> NB>> Made with lots of love... :)
RH> Very much so; our preaching pastor's wife does a plaque with the
RH> baby's name on it as her gift so we know there will usually be 2
RH> hand made gifts.
NB> And I'm sure that the moms being honored look forward to them as
NB> well.... ;)
I've not heard anybody not liking them. (G) I sew on a "hand made by..."
label on as a finishing touch.
