You missed my point, Ed. If YOU (and the rest of us) stop paying these silly
prices for tickets, salaries will have to go down whether the players like it
or not, and ticket prices will have to go down whether the owners like it or
not. We're all the problem out here as much as the players and owners. If
we'd start voting with our pockets instead of our mouths, you'd see some
serious changes right quick. Problem is, there's always folks out there with
more money than good sense who would spend whatever it took and fill the
seats. This is especially true in the case of football, where the total
seats x games per year is limited as compared to baseball.
