I don't know if the TS-430S is an earlier Kenwood XCVR to the TS-520S
that I have.

I added the 12 volt Inverter to mine so I could use it in the car since
my radio only came with a connector for a 110V/220V A.C. Line Cord.

The TS-520 model had the 12V circuit built in, but that feature wasn't
in the TS-520S I got.

Hopefully the TS-430S (if You get that one) has the 12 volt option.
