Hello Rod!

Remember how I was trying Xmodem and Sealink in an effort to get
transmission going the other way, and you told me it was irrelevant,
because V42 was always sending data to each other, then how come the
problem occurs when sending a file, but not when sending menu screens to
you?  Perhaps a test to do would be to use Telix and do an ASCII file
transfer.  I can set the character pacing in Telix, and was wondering if
you get below a certain value whether the problem goes away?

BTW, aren't you "in the business" and have friends with line
testers to tell you what is happening on the line?  I'm just surprised,
that's all.  I realise it is pretty academic now.  BFN.
