RH>> And, we will be opening up the first jars any time now. It's to
RH>> cool down to the low 60s by the end of the week (but reach 80
RH>> mid week) so winter is coming. Farmer's market will go to winter
RH>> hours (10-12) on Saturday.
NB>> Hmmmph... cool down to the low 60s.... around here, this time of
NB>> year, we're lucky to have it warm up to the low-mid 60s,
RH> Consider that the beginning of last week we had some days in the low
RH> 80s. Weather Underground is saying mid 50s for highs this week end
RH> tho, actually a bit below normal.
Meanwhile, while I was up at the Pond, Friday night's temps were in the
20s... a bit below normal for them, too.... It warmed up by Sunday...
NB>> like it has yesterday and today... it's been more in the 40s and
NB>> 50s already... winter's coming, I suppose, but so far this is more
NB>> like fall... I am wearing a sweater more often, though....
RH> We're grabbing light to medium weight jackets. Yesterday for going out
RH> to quilting and voting, I had on a light weight (pull over) sweater
RH> and grabbed my jeans jacket. By the time we went to vote (about 2:30),
RH> the jacket was just comfortable enough but I changed out for a lined
RH> windbreaker about 3 hours later when we went out for supper.
The sweater jacket is my fall jacket... definitely not ready to use the
heavier winter jacket....
NB>>>> Gives a keener appreciation for how intricately put together
NB>>>> our bodies really are... :) And how interwoven... :)
RH>>> Very much so! It's still improving; I can do a little bit more
RH>>> each day (stemmed and snapped green beans for supper tonight)
RH>>> without it hurting. Still not trying to raise it over my head
RH>>> overly much but those times I do, it's doing better.
NB>>> Little by little... :)
RH>> Yes, and even more improvment since last time you checked in.
NB>> That's good news... :)
RH>> Good therapy too.
And so far just the sort of therapy you can set yourself, I take it...
RH>> It's still not back to what it was pre break but doing better. I'm
RH>> still not stressing it very much but doing a lot of what I usually
RH>> do. Still asking Steve to do a lot of things but he's stepped down
RH>> from doing as much as he was for a few weeks.
NB>> Definitely progress... in the right direction... ;)
RH> Yes, and the doctor thinks so as well.
Also a good thing... :)
RH>>> Nov. 5 (the baby shower) to get it done so am working on it bit
RH>>> by bit.
NB>>> So you'll likely have it done in good time, and not stress the
NB>>> arm too much in the process... :)
RH>> I'll be working on it for several days this week but since it's
RH>> small, it's not too hevy or bulky. Probably a couple of hours
RH>> tomorrow will get it almost done, then a shorter session to
RH>> finish it off.
NB>> So did you get it done in time for the shower...? And was it
NB>> well received....? :)
RH> Yes, and yes--tho I realised after I was almost done quilting it,
RH> that I'd inverted 2 rows. No significant problem, just skewed the
RH> design a bit but the mom to be loved it anyway.
Made it clearly a one-of-a-kind... ;)
RH> Only one of 2 hand made items at the shower.
Made with lots of love... :)
